It started as a simple “Hm… I could do this” and turned into an “I actually need this.” For years, I’d wanted to start a blog. I even tried in 2020 during lockdown, but the words never left my drafts. I made a whole website and couldn’t bring myself to hit publish, convinced myself that life wasn’t “interesting enough.” And maybe back then, it wasn’t. But a lot has changed, and so have I—I actually like who I am now.

So, I set a deadline: two weeks before my 34th birthday, I’d decide—do I go for it now or wait until life “settles down” in the new year? Nervous and a little cryptic, I told my husband I was doing something just for me. And on my birthday, I finally shared my plan. His response? “You should do it.”

The next day, I set up my site. I’ve messed it up, gotten frustrated, and redone it more times than I’d like to admit, but here I am. Doing it.
